Wendy-Lee, I myself researched this question about 1yr ago now. My 5yr old son as I have mentioned many times still wets the bed. He also used to be in the bathroom constantly. Anyone who spent time will him noticed it. He could go 6 times in one hour. I finally began to track the amount of fluid in take in one day and had him urinate in a marked jug to measure the output. If memory serves me correctly he was taking in about 53oz and outputting about 46 of it. I personally think that is a lot. I did a lot of research on the web and the question of diabetes came up. I wish I had all the info but at this point I don't. I had accessed a web-site for Diabeties that had a question and answere session with doctors. One doctor responded saying it sounded like my son could have diabeties insipides(sp??). So a new search began. I spoke with my pharmacist who checked my son's blook and found nothing. He also had one of those machines in the store that allows you to look up information. He printed out all sorts of stuff for me. In it I found a Doctor in Seattle that was a genetisits and was also a specialists in Diabeties Insipides. I e-mailed him and he kindly responded indicating I raised a very interesting question. YOu see I questioned if it was even possible because in all the paperwork I read the disorder was contridictory to CAH. Ryan is a salt-looser and this other disorder required a low salt diet, among other things I found. He e-mailed another doctor that he knew that was and Endo and she e-mailed both of us back stating that it was impossible. I also spoke with my endo and she advised that she felt it was impossible also. She did at that point cut back on the sodium choloride supplement that he was taking at the time. He does still take it but no where as much as he did. Besides salting his food at the time he was also getting 44cc's of it a day. Judy
