We took my son out in a family boat on Sunday as we have many times before. This time was to be very different though. We ate lunch and then began out trip over to an island where the kids could pick shells and crabs for thier collection. On the way there, I noticed that Ryan was off color and his eyes were a bit unfocused. I had him lie down and gave him an extra dose of meds due to the lethargy. Shortly after we gave him the meds, popscicles, gatoraid and toasted marshmallows, he came back to himself. Here is the thing. He was not sweating, he had no fever, he did not vomit, no bones were broken, he didn't even have a cold. I am now totally confused because I thought I had CAH down pat and now this comes out of left field. I'm a bit scared to send him to school next year due to the way he rapidly declined while out on the water. He didn't fit into any of the categories that I would have put in the letter to the school except the lethargy. Anybody have an idea what could have happened? He was not out in the sun, he was under a roof, he ate a good breakfast as well. Could sea sickness have caused the same reaction and crisis? Please feel free to let me know your thoughts about this one. I am stumped and concerned. Thanks, LynnLynnT
