We opted to have the surgery done at a very early age. She was 8 months. I honestly did not want her to have any memories of the ordeal. She did need alot more than a vaginal opening created though. She recuperated remarkably fast and I'm not sure she would have bounced back so quickly if we had waited. She has had minor adjustments done since then and she took a bit longer than in the past.
