My daughter had vaginoplasty at age 3 but the opening is still too small to use a tampon. She tried dilation but it did not work for her. She wants surgery now. Any advice from anyone who has gone through this? How much pain? How long of a recovery? She is 17 and wants it done before she goes back to school in August. The doctors wanted her to try dilation before surgery but it has been a year and no luck. My daughter said the dilation was uncomfortable. Will this change after surgery?
