I hope it is not hard to get the cortef and solu-cortef in Turkey. Always give the medication every day and on schedule. It is very important to give the morning medication between 6am and 8am. Again in the afternoon at 3pm and at night at 10 to 11pm. If asleep -crush the pill and mix with water - use a syringe or medicine dropper and squirt in his mouth. If you ever need anything you can write me at: preston@kreative.net or Roberta Marie Preston 635 N. Ripley Street Alexandria, Virginia 22304 USA I have two boys with CAH. One 6 year olds; and one almost 2 years old. If your child ever has fever - you must give triple the cortef. And you must reduce the fever right away with tylenol. If the fever is not reduced in one hour of less - then you must give the cortef by needle or injection. And also go to hospital for sodium/sugar fluids IVs because of dehydration and to prevent shock or heart failure. The stress of fever can cause death VERY FAST. You must increase the cortef to 100mg injection if there is a high fever. If the child vomits two times (especially repeat vomiting or sick at the stomach) also there is going to be a problem with dehydration and death can happen very fast if you do not give the solu-cortef 100mg injection IMMEDIATELY or right away. And again IV fluids to prevent dehydration. The cortef must be repeated every 6 hours if the child is ill with fever or sick at the stomach (vomiting). You can not over dose with cortef during illness but not enough can cause death. You must be very careful and watch for fevers or vomiting. The child does not make the stress hormone for a fever and the blood pressure and blood sugar can drop. The heart can stop and death. preston@kreative.Roberta Preston
