The endo I was diagnosed by in Seattle is Dr. James Benson. I don't believe he is practicing any longer (that was 21 years ago) anyway, I do see a fabulous endo in Tacoma (I live in Puyallup) and his name is Dr. David McCowen. He was recommended by 4 or 5 people I know (including one that is an RN and one who is a doc himself) but it does take about 3 months to get in for an initial appt. (I kept calling for cancellations and got in much earlier) he automatically sets up another appt every 3 months and asks you to come in a week before for bloodwork so it will be back when you have your appt with him. I have seen one endo in Renton, one in Burien, one in Federal Way, and two in Tacoma, and he (besides the one that diagnosed me) is the best - hands down. Besides that, he has a great bedside manner too, actually listens. Susan A.
