Shaun, the critical test would be bone age. They do it by x-raying the wrist. If your son is 4 and his bone age 4, everything is great. Unfortunately, they only do it once per year and I've heard cases where the bone age can advance by several years. What this means, in essence, is that they have lost several years of growth.
