Our 5 yr old son is still on the sodium cloride supplement so I hate to say it but it doesn't always end at or around 1 yr old. My son is an excellent eater and always has been so getting the right amount of through his table food isn't a problem but for him it is still not enough. We salt his food very heavily in fact. We have continued to decrease the amount over the past 1.5yrs and each time the endo advises that we need to make sure we really salt his food and to give him salty things like pickles. Which we do. My son has never given us trouble taking the supplemnt as he has been taking it since he was 4 days old. I have always put it in his formula or milk now. I have tried putting it in other things but he hates it. He doesn't even notice the difference between just milk or when it is added. If he does he never says anything. Our endo gave us a specific formula for the supplement that our Pharmacists makes up for us. I will check the concentration this evening and let you know tomorrow. But Debbie's suggestion about putting it in as much milk as possible is a great one. We always gave it three times a day as well, I would put it in an 8oz bottle and keep putting it back in the frige each time he didn't finish it. That way is was diluted as much as possible. Then over time he got used to it and as we increased the amount we didn't need to increase the amount we put it into. He was at the amount your child is at first but as of 1.5 yrs ago he was actually up to 44cc's per day. Currently he is at 24cc's per day. It really depends on the child. Good luck JudyJudy
