Our 17 month old daughter has NEVER had soldium supplements. She is a salt-loser and at our last Endo appointment I questioned him on this issue because I have seen people write about it on this board. He said that this was practiced years ago because doctors believed it was necessary. However, it has now been found that the Fludrocortisone is adequate to maintain their salt levels. She is now eating solids and getting extra salt through food, and as she gets older she will crave salty food if she needs it. We have only had to deal with one 'adrenal crisis' just recently, and apart from this she has been very healthy and had no problems at all. An interesting issue.
