We were told to try to avoid chicken pox at all costs. As luck would have it, my daughter caught it. The pediatrician, in conjuction withthe endocrinologist, had given me a prescription for a medication called Zovrax (sp?) and told me to start her on it within 24 hrs of the first pox and it would cause her to have a less severe case. It worked. She had it enough to give her immunity, but not a bad case at all. If early enough, you may want to pursue this.
