My son switched from the liquid Cortef to the pill last spring. Since then we have reduced his dose 3 times. He went from 11 mg per day to 7.5 mg per day. I believe several others have posted that their child's dose was decreased after switching to pill. You may find this the case? Can't really help on the 2x a day because my son has always been on 2x. I think that is the "standard", but there seem to be so many ways to successfully treat this condition, who knows! A question on your daughter's dose. COrrect me if I am wrong (it has been a few months now), but isn't the liquid Cortef 2 mg/ml. So wouldn't your daughter's dose of liquid at 2.5ml, 2 ml., 2ml have equaled 12 mg/day. Is her dr. really suggesting switching it to 2.5 mg in am and 2.5mg in pm.? THat would be a decrease from 12 mg to 5mg.
