Kimberly, I found you post of interest. Last spring my son's meds were increased. He went from 2.5 in the am, 2.5 in the afternoon and 5 in pm to an increase to 7.5 in the pm. When I asked what had changed in his levels our endo told me the 170HP levels. I asked her what he had been at and where he was now. She informed me that a non CAH person is typically below 50 and that Ryan had always been at or about 10, which they considered to be very good. He was now at 160. I noted at the time that he go sick the afternoon after seeing her so she decided to redue his blood work as that could have been the cause for the increase and the second time he was at 190. So based on the continued increase she decided to increase the pm dose by 2.5. She did advise me at the time that most endos are happy to have a CAH patient below 1000. But based on where they had successfully had Ryan all along she felt that 160 & 190 were to high. I guess my point is why would an endo feel that 16 was reflective of two low if a "normal" non-CAH person is naturally below 50? If anyone else has an answer to this I would welcome it so that I can discuss this further with our endo in Sept. Thanks JudyJudy
