my daughter has been on tablet form of Cortef for 7 1/2 years now. she has never been overweight, never been "puffy". she does get hungrier than normal from time to time, but i attribute that to normal growth - sort of growing out first then up in height... her labs have always been perfect with the exception of when her meds have changed because of growth. she is on the 75-85% on height but on the 25-50 on wieght. i know that cortef can be a factor in overweight CAH children, however, there is a real trend for overwieght children in our nation, so what is due to cortef and what is due to inactivity & bad food choices?
