Lisa, I agree with Andy. When we switched to the Cortef tabs in March our son figured out they were not as tasty as his smooth Cortef suspension. He began to turn his head and scream especially for the am doses. Before we started giving the Cortef tabs he would willingly chew up his Florinef without a sound...BUT the Cortef was another story. We tried yogurt, pudding etc. but he soon knew what was coming. FINALLY, we found the ultimate food-hideaway..CHEESE. He loves cheese so for each "awake" dose we use 1/2 of a piece of cheese, wrap-up and smush the tabs into it and he doesn't even notice. We break up the rest of the pieces to look like the first and he readily eats it up. For the pm dose we dissolve the tab in 2ml apple juice for 10-15 minutes and use a small medicine cup to take up another ml or two to clean out the syringe. I let him suck on it a little at a time and then quickly draw up another ml and he sucks it down without a problem. He is so use to it he goes right back to sleep. Good luck. I know how stressful it is to change your routine and meds. I am a pharmacist and I still stressed a bit when we switched to tabs. I was use to the ease of the suspension and am still disgusted over the whole issue. I have been INTO this Cortef problem for almost 2 years. Well, write if you have questions. Michele H.Michele
