Last night I signed both my 7 yr old non-CAH daughter and my 5 yr old CAH son up for fall soccer. While completing the paperwork I breezed right over the question of medical conditions on my daughters form however, when I got to my son's all of a sudden it hit me. Would they deny him the opportunity. It didn't ask for an explanation of his condition just the condition. I'm not at all concerned about his playing. Especially at his age either his father or I or both of us will be there at all times. I just got that pit in my stomach for the first time that he was somewhat different and I don't' want him to ever feel that way. We don't think of him as different but I'm so afraid that others will and they may not accept him for some sports. I know may of you on the board have children who play sports so I never gave it a second thought until last night. I guess I am just wondering if any of you have it any obstacles along the way and if so how you handled them. Thanks for your continued support. Judy
