yes, this is true. if you read farther down the message board much has been said about this. you need to call your endo and have him or her get you a prescription for the pill cortef. my 3 month old daughter takes it when we crush it in a mortar and put it on our finger into her mouth. we wash it down with a bottle of water or milk. others have problems giving it and suggest dropping the pill in the syringe for the liquid, sucking up some breast milk, juice etc. let stand for 10 minutes, shake and give. then suck up more and give to be sure all medicine is out. good luck.
