Tonia, I don't have any pre-school type advice. However, since it is time for your daughter to start spending time away from you and your husband, I would suggest you get a pager (or a cell phone). My daughter (20 months) is in day care and I don't know which of about 3 different phones I will be at during any given work day. The thought of daycare having to track me down was rather scary. Though I had to pay all up front, the pager is only $10/month. I only use it for my daughter, it is only to be used by daycare or a babysitter or something similar. For example, yesterday I had to be out of town, so my sister-in-law had the pager on her. I told daycare, but they still would have called the same pager number if there were ANY issues with Olivia. I believe that a cell phone could offer the same service (plus more). My work environment will not allow me to have a cell phone, so the pager was the best choice. Good luck!
