I called Upjohn. The recall letter was just sent out the week before last and it was sent to the wholesalers. In many cases it is the responsibility of the wholesalers to notify the pharmacy. I was told that Upjohn will take back all suspension Cortef in the recall and reimburse you (thru pharmach) for whatever expense, copay, etc. My pharmacy was not aware of any of this but Upjohn gave me this person to refer to my pharmacy John Nadelin (Global regulatory) 800-253-8600 x36158. Also, according to a good friend of mine, it isn't worth trying to make your own suspension. Many things/methods can alter the intended effect of the drug. We have switched to the pill. I just wish they made something smaller than 5mg.
