Hi there. A while back there were several posts about kids wetting the bed, and was there a link to CAH? I have been reading a very good book called "Safe uses of Cortisol". The book was recommended to me by a gal on the late-onset board and my library finally loaned it from another state for me. Anyway, in this book (written by William McK. Jefferies, MD) he states that the steroids keep our kidney function going all night rather than our kidneys resting while at sleep. I don't remember what page I read it on or I would quote what he said, but I found that interesting. For me, with CAH, since being on steroids (20+ years)I ALWAYS have to get up to use the bathroom during the night, at least once. Could this be the reason these children are wetting the bed? My 13 yr old rarely gets up during the night and I do every morning at 3 am or before. When we're camping I always need to camp near the restrooms too. Exasperating! By the way, the book is very good, but expensive ($35.00 - and softback)so that was why I wanted to get it from the library before I bought it. Actually my library has now put in to buy a copy, Yippee! This copy came from a Nauropathic College in Oregon's library. Pretty cool. I'd love to hear stories from others (adults too, please) with CAH about whether this is a problem for you too. Thanks, Susan A.Susan A.
