Good point, Wendy-Lee. I failed to mention that one time it closed and it took 5 months to reopen. That is the reason I examined my newborn baby so closely and found that she didn't have a vaginal opening at all. At the time, my five year old daughter's vaginal opening was closed, and my mother and mother-in-law were frantic. They wanted to know if I had really ever seen it open before. So, I checked my newborn so that if hers ever closed, I would be able to say, Yes I saw it. But I didn't see it because it wasn't there. That was the beginning of finding out that she had CAH.
