We have two boys with salt wasting CAH. Our 4 1/2 year old was on injections until he was two and then switched to the liquid for six months. When he was 2 1/2 we switched him to the pill form and although we did have some periods of oversuppression, we were able to control his doses much better. He would spit the suspension out and we were never quite sure how much he really kept in. With a little rewarding and bribery at first, we got him to let us put half a pill on the back of his tongue and then we would race him to see who could drink their glass of milk the fastest. Sounds silly, but it worked for us. Our 8 month old was just switched yesterday and we just put half a pill in his mouth and give him drinks out of his sippy cup. So far so good. He was on the suspension also since his birth and had started to spit it out too. I had been pushing our endo to start him on the pills for the last month or so and the recall finally convinced him. From experience, I highly recommend a pill cutter. My fingers are always stiff in the morning and it can be hard to break the pills sometimes.Kimberly
