I may be going at this backwards, but if the meds for CAH are bringing your child's levels to where they should be, doesn't that mean that the doctors who diagnosed CAH are on the right track?? Are there other conditions that could produce these results?? You mention, Donna, that taking your son off of his meds is on the advice of a "consultant" - what does your endo think about this?? I would be inclined to seek a second opinion, also. My 2 yr old salt-wasting son went into adrenal crisis, and we lost him. This is not a course of action I would try unless every other avenue had been pursued first. I will pray for your son and for your family, too. God's blessings.
