Ok now. I have talked with my pharmacy and they said they did not have any information proving that the Cortef pill and the Cortef suspension gets absorbed or metabolized any faster than the Cortef pill. Now I want to get to the bottom of this. Can anyone help out this theory. I inquired about my daughter being on a the Cortef pill that is only 5mg a day. She was on 6.5mls of Cortef suspension which came out to around 12mg of actual Cortef a day. When I questioned this change, my daughter's endo. said it was because the body absorbs the Cortef pill slower than the Cortef suspension. I am just still nervous about this but I am going to wait it out until the next blood draw in a week and a half. I felt that perhaps this was going to be ok for such a cut in dosage since everyone found that they keep having to cut their dosage with every bloodwork result anyway. What I am really asking is can anyone give me some kind of site to go to or information in regards to the absorption of Cortef pill v.s. the Cortef suspension? So many people keep getting different answers to this question. I just wanted to find some hard evidence. Is there a drug site? Thanks.
