Dear Rie, You mentioned that in Japan, 17-OHP was measured in ng/ml (nannograms/milliliter). Here in the US, it is most commonly expressed as ng/dl (nannograms/deciliter). I believe that since "deci" refers to the number "10" and "milli" refers to the number "1000," numbers in one system vs. the other would be off by a factor of 100. Therefore a 17-OHP of 1.9 ng/ml in Japan would be equivalent to a 17-OHP of 190 ng/dl in the US. You were concerned that the accepted levels the Japanese doctors had given you were so much lower than those commonly used by US doctors. If I am understanding things correctly, this would actually mean that the two groups really pretty much agree. Pls. double-check with your doctors about this. Good luck!Carol
