Thank you for your concern and kind words! There's no doubt my daughter has had a growth spurt, but is still a little on the short side. She has slimmed down a bit, but it seems normal so far, as she just turned 4 in June. She had been on 7.5mg Cortef for 6 months, then in June it was raised to 10mg. Because of several episodes and need for injections, it was raised to 12.5mg end of June. But in one month her levels showed she was oversuppressed. Now she is back to 10mg for 1 1/2 weeks. Her behavior is improving slightly. We do her bloodwork every 3-4 months, but she must have had a growth spurt before a 3 month period was up. I see now why we can't go longer than that! So next Monday we recheck the bloodwork, including estrogen, and if the estrogen is a little high, she will treat her for precocious puberty, I believe. It's all so hard to follow. I am curious, has anyone's daughter experienced vaginal bleeding after corrective surgery ( not post-operative healing), or had troubles with sensitive skin? Our endo has thought this was the problem, not puberty, but after a cystoscopy, we think it's puberty. i hope to know the true source by the end of the month. Thanks all, for caring. I feel better about going for the bloodwork on Monday (oh yes, and we have a prescription for the EMLA cream)! I'll post an update.
