Re: Cortef pill

Bonnie, I myself had my three year old daughter going through that too. She did not want to sleep! She was literally bouncing off the walls. I moved her dosage time two hours before bedtime instead of the regular bedtime routine. Her dosage changed from three times a day to two. So I split it from between 6-7 a.m. to 7ish pm. It seems to work well. I still am trying to figure out why we can now dose her only twice a day instead of three times. It will be almost a month she has been on it next week. We will get her bloodwork next week taken. The tests will show what is going on. Her last bloodwork was perfect finally after months of it being off. (figures) I have no idea what this pill change will bring. My daughter is pretty energized too. We had a rough few days after starting on the pill. Now she still seems to be pretty vibrant, but not hyper anymore. She also had crying spells. I thought this was from no sleep. I know I was shedding my share of tears that week from no sleep and trying to keep up with her emotions. So far we have been on a pretty good sleep schedule once again. (KNOCK ON WOOD) Moods have been pretty much in check. Hang in there. Keep posting. What was your daughter's dosage for Cortef susp. and now what is her dosage for the pill? (If you don't mind me asking) It seems alot of these kids that have switched to the pill have been oversuppressed several draws later and have had to cut down their dosage dramatically. I am trying to find out what kind of a difference this pill is making. I am feeling that the Cortef was really off. My endo. started her by cutting it way down to begin with. I will not know if that was good or a bad thing until the results. I will let you know. I am trying to put together my own conclusion to this dosage thing with the pill. Good luck and hang in there.
