My daughter was on the Cortef suspension as- 2.5ml-2ml-2ml. We now give her one 5mg pill a day. Half in the a.m. half in the p.m. When figured out ml's to mg's it comes to about 13 milligrams (if my math is correct) that she was getting on the Cortef suspension. Now she is getting only 5mg a day. When I asked her endo., he explained that the absorption of the pill was a little bit more potent than the Cortef suspension. So far she seems fine on it. I even thought she may be oversuppressed by her actions. Of course there is not an endo. that agrees that these meds. effect our childrens moods ect. I am going with this dosage until the results. If I find they are way off, I will NOT be happy with the low dosage decision. But I feel pretty ok with it since everyone has had oversuppression problems once switched to the pill. Like I said time will tell. I just can't wait until I get those results in my hand. We have the flu going around our community. To top it off, our county fair has had a ecoli (sp?) epidemic. Of course I was there with my daughter. So I am just praying and holding my breath. I worry she may get this stuff, and I have no idea where her levels are. It is VERY scary.
