I related to your post in a couple of ways. My 4 yr old daughter has salt-wasting CAH. She certainly has had her share of having to be brave due to tests, injections, surgery, etc. I have always explained to her that the dr. appts and medicines are to "help her grow right". She has accepted this and I will explain a little more as is age appropriate. Also, my older daughter had some early signs of puberty at 7, so she had the acth and other tests done too. I explained to her the very basics of puberty, not details yet, and said we would have to do these tests to make sure that she doesn't grow too much too fast.(She's had deodorant since 5, so Iv'e explained some things along the way). Iv'e also experienced the feeling of wanting a diagnosis. My 4 yr old is also exhibiting signs that may be early puberty, but no dx after 4 months of various tests! I'm currently awaiting test results of recent bloodwork that may give us an answer. My older daughter did not end up with LOCAH or precocious puberty and we were relieved. I will keep you and my daughter in my thoughts and prayers.Pamela
