I'm in the same boat.

Monday is the big day for us too. It will be Damon's first day of Kindergarten. I had a meeting with the school nurse and gave an inservice to all the school personnel. My concern is that there is not a nurse at school at all times, she visits once a week or so. I have established a good rapport with his teacher. She knows to call me for anything. I'm also worried about all the extra colds and illnesses he'll catch. I would hate to have to start doubling and/or tripling his doses because he's all of a sudden catching 'stuff'. HE knows what his medic-alert is for and to point it out, so I'm relying on that. Also, I know you didn't ask about this, but Damon has very frequent noseblees lately, especially while he's sleeping. I brought him to the pediatrician's for his monthly liver profile and I mentioned it to him. Damon has had nosebleeds in the past during playing outside and getting too hot. But,since he's having them at rest, the ped did bloodwork to determine if Damon has a bleeding disorder :o( I am very worried about this. I wake to him gagging and choking on the blood and he doesn't wake up. My pediatrician is not alarmist, so when he's worried....so am I. Thanks for listening and I'm sorry I don't have any words of wisdom for you. (((HUGS))) Selena
