Thanks Joan This is so different from what I was led to believe, and very interesting! I honestly thought that my childs fludrocortisone was more important than cortisol, I didn't know that they could live without taking it if they were salt losers! I think Fludro can have bad side effects, I shall see if my child can stop taking it, and just eat extra salt and drink a lot (of course I will check with the endo). What a terrible worry it must have been for your parents, and am so glad that you are here with us today!
