Julia, I am sure you are having difficulty making this decision. The way I see things, if you are not sure, the best thing to do is to wait. You can always have the surgery done, but you can never give her back what is lost from the surgery. Everyone I have talked to or read about who had the surgery before they could consent are furious! that it was done to them. It's nasty surgery. Think about it, that baby needs love form you and her father. She does not need a vagina. What would she need one for? It the doc tells you she won't know the difference, or she won't remember, that's not true. If you are a religious person, pray about it. I really think Babies like this are blessings, amazing gifts, not abnormalities. Brooke
