Laura, I am so sorry that the OHP levels came in way off. Just think of this as the first step in the titration process and now the doctors know which way to go and what to do. Look at it this way, your daughter is being watched so carefully now she is in better care than she was when she was on the liquid. Remember, 18 out of 19 children were NOT receiving the proper doseage. The scrutiny they will put her under, with your encouragement (and insistance) will only serve to help her find the perfect dose for your daughter. I did think that the dose she was on was a bit low, but each child is different and the severity of their CAH varies from child to child. Just think, you will be so much closer with the next blood test that you might even be right in the ball park!!! I notice that your doctor isn't panicing and making a large increase for your child. Remember, slow and steady wins the race. At least your daughter will not have to go through the oversuppression/Cushinoid symptoms. Don't feel bad about feeling sad because of this test result. It is only natural. We love our children so much that we hate to see this happen to our children, even if it is short lived. Your a good and caring Mom. Hang in there because she needs you to be strong for her. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless, and good luck, LynnLynnT
