i am a 19 year old female, whome had the cliterol reduction done when i was a few months old, and my vaginoplasy done when i was 13. I have NO problems with any of the surgeries performed. I grew up looking very similar to my friends, never felt embarressed etc, etc, as a teen at high school during gym etc, etc. Dosen't anyone, feel that that this area is a concern in relation physcological problems, and being teased, epecially when your young, and impressionable. I am glad that i had the surgeries when i did. There are people out there who have had bad experiences, and i feel very sorry for them. There are HIGH risks sassociated with this surgery. The key to sucess is to search for a competant, skilled surgeion. My parents search most of Australia for a surgeon. We settled on two of the best to assist each other and fly them to one of our top hospitals. The cliterol reduction however was done at the childerns hospital by a very experience urologist and microsuregon. Im my opion the surgery was a good idea at the time, everything turned out fine, and i have so physical or physcological problems associated with the surgery.
