A surgeon recently (a couple years ago ) said that my daughter would have sensation. But he was wrong. My daughter does not remember her surgeries at all. And as I said before,we believed that our surgeon was a good surgeon. He is still doing surgeries. Her surgery was clitoral reduction where they pull it in. Never was I told they wee going to cut it off! I certainly would not have agreed to that. I understand about being teased when you are young, but you spend a lot more of your life as an adult. If I had to I would have moved to Alaska where she would never have worn a bathing suit and I would have home schooled her to prevent any teasing if I had to rather than the surgery that she had. I really think that all the doctors should find out why certain surgeries were failures. Maybe it has to do with how much they are virilized. I don't know. She had vaginoplasty at age 3 and doesn't remember it. Her vagina has narrowed though and she may need another surgery to enlarge it. She wants this surgery but is against the clitoroplasty she had. Her surgery was at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg Florida. Best of Luck to you.
