I think it is always a hard call - depends so much on the particular child. With my son, we have always been able to bring a fever down with tylenol and advil. I probably would have tried that first and then given a double dose at about 9:00. If the fever didn't come down after the tylenol or advil I would probably done just what you did. How is your son feeling now?
