I have been in your situation-no refills left but no prescription on file and my endo on vacation. Fortunately the back-up endo responded and called in a prescription just in time. Also, another time, my pharmacist partially filled a prescription for me even though the dose had changed and I did not have the appropriate new prescrip reflecting the new dose. I told him that my daughter absolutely needed this medication and he gave me a week's worth. Now what I do is keep extra prescriptions on hand, and make sure the endo puts refills on it. I get a written prescrip at every appt even if I don't need one. Good Luck!
