Another point that my son's endo stated is that each patient metabolizes the cortef differently. We had discussed this due to my son 2x daily dose - hence she feels that he metabolizes cortef quite slowly. He takes 2.5mg in am and pm for total of 5mg daily (and is still oversupressed).
