How funny!!! That is exactly what my 9 year old daughter wants to be - a genetic scientist so she can fix herself and all the other kids that have what she has!!!! In regard to the thread, weight and height also are taken into account (body mass, meter squared)... a child who is 9 that weights 70 pounds is going to take less than a child who weighs 90 pounds, etc., even though they are the same age, but yes, there seem to be an awful lot of discrepancies in the doses everyone takes. My daughter is 9, weighs 100 lbs (thanks to oversuppression from liquid to pills) and is on 25 mg daily, split in two doses. The endo said this is at the way high end for her size, etc. But until we get her levels straightened out, that is where we are.
