Hi Sarah, Many doctors do have the doses different at diffent times during the day. At the doctor appointment where I was being taught how to care for Olivia, her ped endo indicated that she felt the cortef only stayed in the system for 6 hours. (I don't know if she was refering to the liquid or pill forms.) But she knew it was not practical for parents to have to give the medication that often. I know for me that at times 10 pm dose is really late while the 6:30 is so awful early. My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that the short adult stature is due to the bones aging too quickly. I can't remember if this is due to getting too much or too little steroid. I know someone else will know the answer.Janet D.
