I have posted about my daughter's lack of sleep in the past and have heard from several people who have the same problem with their child. The endos don't have seem to have a clue unless the child is way overmedicated. I truly feel that my daughter's lack of napping is due to her having too much Cortef. She stopped taking good daytime naps about the same time that she was switched to the pill form of Cortef- and guess what- she was getting too much. Her 17OHP levels dropped below 10. We are now in the process of lowering her dose to get her levels to an acceptable level. We have decreased her dose and for the first week or two, she was napping two whole hours during the day. Now her napping is very erratic again and I think the dose is still too high. Unfortunately, we have to wait a couple more weeks to repeat the tests. Stay tuned.
