Finally we got the results of Brandons test results, does anyone else have this problem, with waiting a good 2 weeks for results? We again had to increase his cortef and florinef. We are now taking 15 mg am/10 mg. in afternoon, 15 mg in pm. His Florinef was increased to 0.1 mg in am & pm. His results were 6838 for the 17 OH Pregenolone, plasma renin 1681 ng/dl/hr, DHEA 2812 ng/dl, 17 OH Progersterone 374 g/dl, andostenedione 281 ng/dl, cortisol less than 1.0 ug/dl He had a pretty good check up, still losing the weight, but the doc doesnt seem concerned about it. My concern was the constant complaining he does of being tired and his back hurting. I also wanted to say that Brandon has been in a learning resource class, which we had to fight the education system tooth & nail to finally agree too. He is in 11th grade and for the past school years have been following is IEP. He has done well each year, and we work with him very diligently. We were also told when he was younger, that children that go through a lot of medical problems can possibly have some learning problems. I must say that he excels well in math I better stop, I could go on forever.
