I have been in touch with the Professor and she says carriers( like us) have a higher probability of have an LD. As you said in you message my sons are at the high end for IQ, it is their brain's inturpretation, processing of language that is difficult. I wish I had insisted in 1st grade that they be tested, because I noticed the same things in them as my daughter, switching things like big and small, winter and summer, hot cold, then it was the letters, band d p and b, there has been some fabulous research done with slowing the sounds down so that they can hear them, and then speeding the sounds up slowly. I think it is www.knowledge.com Some schools are using this with a good sucsess rate, but it is very expensive, so only large school systems are able to afford it. Also my kids have been help by colored lenses, their brain sees black and white differently and the colored lenses sooth the pathways and let them see the words "normally" their web sight is www.irlenclinic.com it is called the Irlen Method developed by Helen Irlen.
