Any chance that you are in an area with another pediatric endo? I truly don't think yours sounds very well informed about CAH unless I am totally missing something. We were taught how to give the injection the same day our daughter was diagnosed, along with follow-up training over the next couple of visits. In my daughter's five years of life we have given probably a dozen injections and I am quite sure we would have lost her at least a couple of times without the injection of solu-cortef. We were told and are still told that it is better to be safe and give the injection than to wait and be too late. I don't mean to frighten you, Laurel, but I do think you need to be proactive with your doctor regarding this. God bless and good luck.
