Hi Amber! The CVS has a higher incidence of miscarriage than the amnio. I do not know the specific numbers but your ob/gyn would know. We chose the amnio because I was carrying an antibody that could be fatal to the baby if we chose the CVS because it is more invasive. I have heard many people choose the CVS because you can have it done earlier and get the results back sooner. Best wishes to you. Hope this helps.
