Our instructions are to give an injection if they vomit more than once (I believe this is standard practise in most - if not all - of Canada). I am very diligent about this, and have had to give my daughter an injection several times, due to vomitting because of the stomach flu. Our endo has said to give her the shot immediately - don't even phone anyone first; just give the shot and get to the hospital right away. We lost a son due to adrenal crisis almost 10 yrs ago; he was 23 months old, and only vomitted once. This is nothing to fool around with - if your endo will not give you the tools and support that you need to deal with crisis, then I would find a new endo asap. God's blessings!
