Has anyone's child experienced more than a "normal" amount of orthopaedic problems? My daughter, Kristin, is 12 yrs old. To date she has broken both arms (separate incidences), her thumb, a toe, and had numerous sprains - the last one severe enough to be in an imobilizer for 4 weeks and then a sling for 2 more. Because of taking steroids, I am wondering if there is a link. All of her blood work comes back within the normal range and we have not had to make any big adjustments in quite some time. I am trying to reach the orthopaedic dr. now to get an appointment to see if she has fractured her left arm. (She fell down on slick pavement Monday night. At first we thought she was just bruised and scraped, but now the bottom of her arm - from the elbow down - hurts if you touch it, her elbow is swollen and her fingers are slightly swollen. She cannot use her arm.) Please tell me what you think - CAH/medication related or not related at all.Kay
