Laurel, When my daughters were 18 months old, their solu-cortef dose was .8cc. Is your daughter a salt waster? I would not advise someone to go against their doctor but if you're uncomfortable with what your endo told you, in an emergency when the child would need solu cortef, extra wouldn't hurt her.
