Our insurance intially denied the claim for DNA testing but they did end up covering most of the cost. We had to appeal and get letters from doctors etc....but the effort was worth it. We charged the testing on our credit card until the insurance co. paid, it took about 6 mos or so. It was interesting as my husband had mutation they had not seen before, and if he would have been tested in isolation, they would have said he was not a carrier. I had a little fun explaining that to him....
