I asked my endo when Jesse was first diagnosed whether to give extra with his needles and he said no. I've never had a problem with them. Jesse's had his flu shots and he's also just had the chicken pox vaccination as well ( this is new over here-Aust) and had no side effects at all. I'd also ask the person giving the needle about the runny nose thing as they might be on the brink of a cold. Maybe if you hold off a week or so until you feel your child is totally back to there normal self, the extra wait would probably put your mind at ease. I hope all goes well Lisa D
