My CAH daughter is only 3, but we have friends with a 13 yr old daughter who has diabetes; she gives herself her injections for about a year already, and knows what to do for insulin shock, etc. In my opinion, your daughter could probably handle this by herself, with some practise; it probably depends on each child's maturity level, too. I'm planning to teach my daughter how to recognize adrenal crisis and give herself injections around age 13 or so. Speak to your endo, and get someone to show her how to do it; she should also practise several times until she feel comfortable that she knows what she's doing. Good luck!
